The enactment of the Law on Games of Chance in 2020 established the legal framework regulating the testing and inspection of gaming equipment.

In late 2020 and early 2021, Central Gaming Lab (CGL) was founded with the objective of creating the necessary conditions to commence on-site technical inspections of gaming equipment.

By mid-2021, Central Gaming Lab entered into an agreement with the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, to establish the Laboratory for Testing and Inspection of Games of Chance Equipment. Through a mutual contract, the scope of operations was defined, authorizing Central Gaming Lab to independently conduct activities on behalf of and for the account of the Faculty of Mathematics.

In mid-2023, CGL signed a Business Cooperation Agreement with GLI Europe B.V., aiming to align its testing and inspection processes with the standards of this world-renowned laboratory.

Due to organizational and technical reasons, the Faculty of Mathematics ceased accepting requests for authorized laboratory services in late 2025.

In January 2026, Central Gaming Lab was officially granted the authorization to independently operate as an accredited laboratory in accordance with the Law on Games of Chance.

We have established and continue to strengthen and expand a team of experienced professionals dedicated to the testing, inspection, and certification of specialized gaming equipment and software, including mathematicians, hardware and software engineers, international standards compliance engineers, and quality assurance specialists. These highly trained, carefully selected experts provide a level of service and expertise that ensures our clients’ peace of mind regarding the quality and efficiency of the prescribed testing, inspection, and certification procedures.

Main Areas of Operation:

Equipment Testing and Certification: We perform testing of the technical and functional characteristics of gaming tables, slot machines, multi-player machines, and betting terminals. Our certification process ensures the full compliance of each individual device with the prescribed gaming regulations.
Issuance of Certificates of Compliance: Following the inspection process, we issue official certificates of compliance regarding the technical and functional characteristics of specialized gaming equipment. These certificates are a mandatory requirement for operator licensing and the commercial use of equipment.
Testing and Inspection of Information-Communication Systems:
We conduct testing of the technical and functional characteristics of information-communication systems and inspect their compliance with prescribed standards and current legal regulations. This process is conducted for the purpose of issuing certificates of compliance for their commercial application in the market.

Registration Labels and Seals: In our capacity as an Authorized Laboratory, we are responsible for the production and application of registration labels, as well as software and fiscal seals, on specialized gaming equipment. This process confirms its legality and technical-technological compliance with current legal regulations.
